Priya was born Priya Balraj Dutt on 28 August 1966. She is the daughter of the Bollywood artist and legislator Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt.
Priya Dutt is of Punjabi lineage and was born and grown in Bombay, Maharashtra. Priya’s parents were nominated to show the Indian National Congress. Sunil Dutt served as the government official.

Priya Dutt got her graduation degree in Sociology from Sophia College, which falls under the University of Bombay in Cumbala Hill, South Bombay.

Political Career
In 2005, after her father’s death, she took part in an election and she received low votes, but still won the Lok Sabha election over the Shiv Sena contestant.

Marriage and Personal Life
In 2003, Priya Dutt got married to Owen Roncon. He is a business partner in Oranjuice Entertainment, a music promotion company, and Fountainhead Promotions & Events Pvt Ltd, which is a marketing company.
Owen Roncon is a Roman Catholic. He is from Bandra, West Mumbai. The couple has two sons, Sumair and Siddharth.

She founded the Nargis Dutt Memorial Charitable Trust. However, it was started by Sunil Dutt, her father in memory of Nargis Dutt, who died from cancer in the year 1981.
