Pooja Gandhi was born as Sanjana Gandhi in the year 1983. She is an Indian actor who works in Kannada, Hindi, and Tamil films. After her commercial success in the 2006 film Mungaru Male, she became one of the most beloved, successful, and highest-paid divas in Kannada cinema. She received an honorary Doctorate. Pooja Gandhi was born in a traditional Punjabi family and brought up in Delhi. Her father, Pawan Gandhi is a businessman, and her mother, Jyothi is a homemaker.

Education and Qualification

She did her schooling at Sophia Convent and Dewan Public School in Meerut, UP. She has two younger sisters named Radhika Gandhi, who is also an actress in Kannada films, and Suhani Gandhi, who is a tennis player.

Pooja Gandhi got engaged in 2012 with Anand Gowda, who is a realtor but she ended the tie the following month due to some personal issues.

Debut in Bollywood

Pooja Gandhi debuted in the Hindi film industry with the Khatron Ke Khiladi opposite Raj Babbar in 2001.

Awards and Recognition

In 2016, she was awarded an honorary doctorate award by the Governing Council of Confederation of International Accreditation Commission – CIAC in partnership with KEISEI International University – South Korea, for her great contribution to the Kannada film industry.

Political Debut

In 2012, Pooja Gandhi joined the Janata Dal (Secular) party by winning the membership of the party.

Thereafter, she joined the KJP party and then joined the BSR Congress party by contesting in the Karnataka assembly elections from the Raichur constituency.

However, she lost the polls.
