Movie Plot
Gopi (Mithun Chakraborty) is a simple-minded peasant searching for work in Mumbai. Some guys approach him, mistaking him for Johnny (also Mithun Chakraborty). Johnny is a crook who works for underworld don Supremo (Kamal Kapoor) and moonlights as a stage singer to hide his illicit operations during the day. When Johnny meets his impersonator, he intends to use him as a fall guy in case the cops figure out who he is. Gopi is educated to imitate Johnny in such a convincing manner that he unwittingly becomes an accomplice to Johnny’s misdeeds. Gopi is accused of stealing precious sculptures by the police, and he must prove his innocence to everyone.
